Emerge

Don't be afraid of loneliness
For that is what made you stronger
Don't find gaps to fill those spaces
For fear will only take you longer

Forget those hurtful experiences
For they helped warm the insides
Shun the eyes that gave you disappointment
Push open yours, they'll direct your flight

Let the dead skin fall off your shoulder
Free your wings and prepare to fly
Believe in yourself, and stand a little bit taller
Close your eyes and emerge in the pool of life.
